A K-type thermocouple sensor probe with a length of 1 meter is a temperature measurement device that consists of two different metal wires (chromel and alumel) joined together at one end and extend to the other end. The thermocouple sensor probe measure temperature by converting the temperature-induced difference in electrical potential between the wires into a measurable voltage. The K-type thermocouple is known for its wide temperature measurement range and relatively low cost. The 1 meter long probe allows for greater flexibility in temperature measurement as it can reach deeper into a process or further away from the measurement instrument.
These low-cost thermocouplers are ideal to measure high-temperatures in industrial settings.
